Chapter 25: Two down
In Chapter 25, Oscar goes on his second mission--his first time into actual combat.
1. Oscar's conversations and his thoughts during the mission and just before he falls asleep are reconstructed, but are based on thoughts and emotions expressed by numerous B-17 crews.
2. The dates and events of the mission are based on Oscar's recollections and the 301st unit history.
