Chapter 32: Last ditch defense
In Chapter 32, Art finds himself posted on a snowy road, ordered to stop any Germans that try to advance.
1. The instructions to the men of the 332nd are reconstructed, but are based on recollections by 332nd veterans.
2. We do not know the name of the man who was in the culvert with Art.
3. The conversation between Art and the other man are fictionalized.
4. The details of the culvert and the light mattresses are based on Art's recollections of those events.
5. We are not entirely sure if the Germans were driving a scout car (perhaps a Kubelwagon) or a half-track.
