Chapter 9: A lot like hunting deer In Chapter 9, the Koski brothers are called to war. 1. The issue as to which Koski brother went to war first is a bit complex. The oldest brother Frank "Al" Koski had been drafted in May of 1941, but was furloughed in October of 1941. George Koski was the first brother to go to war after Pearl Harbor. 2. The details the induction of George, Al, and Art Koski is well documented. 3. The soldier hurrying past the tent in Figure 9-8 looks a lot like Art Koski, but I cannot be sure if it is him. The photo is from Tom Jones who served with Art in H&S Company of the 332nd Engineers, so it is possible that Art is the soldier in the photo. 4. Photo of Anna Koski's wedding to John "Buster" Solka. 5. Photo of 332nd Engineers on parade, July 4, 1942. 6. Photo of 332nd Engineer Officers, July 4, 1942. Media and Web links: 1.
