On January 22 and 23, Qu Aimin, General Manager of HEI, met with Yao Jing, Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, and Irfan Ali, Federal Power Secretary of Pakistan.

In the meeting with Yao, Qu reported on the implementation of the Bhikki and Balloki combined-cycle power plant projects undertaken by HEI in Pakistan, exchanged views on further promotion of project construction, won the substantial support of the embassy and consulate, and established an effective communication mechanism.

In the meeting with Irfan Ali, Qu made a report on the Balloki combined-cycle power plant project breaking the record of the construction period of power plants at the same level in the world, and the high-efficiency and stable performance of the power plant since it was put into commercial operation. Irfan Ali thanked HEI for its contribution to the electric power construction in Pakistan. The two sides exchanged views on the follow-up work of the power plant construction.
