On October 27 and 28, 2013, Indian Ambassador Mr. S. Jaishankar and his wife were invited to visit Harbin Electric International. HEI Chairman Guo Yu, Deputy General Manager Yang Qingli, and Deputy Project Director and General Manager of the Sixth Thermal Power Division Xu Hongfu, met with the distinguished guests.

During the meeting, Chairman Guo Yu described the corporate overview and projects to Ambassador Jaishankar with particular emphasis on HEI projects in the Indian market. Chairman Guo Yu emphasized that the Indian market is of particular importance to HEI, and hoped the Ambassador would help promote more cooperative projects. Harbin Electric International aims to provide the highest quality products and services and continuously improve its brand image in the Indian market.

Ambassador Jaishankar expressed the hope that both China and India strengthen cooperation on an increased number of projects. He also wished to increase attention on issues with Indian visas for Chinese in order to ensure smooth cooperation on both sides.
